Question about css of the "My first website" exercise.

I am fine with the result but used a lot of px, -px and so. It isn't the most elegant way I guess but it works. However, I am interested if this would be inappropriate or would be just fine? (Are there some exact part of CSS where I would need to use not px, -px but some centering stuff or so to get better result?)

I've opened it just it time then probably, I think it's a good start to have a fixed width with fixed pixels and center everything using the margin. That solution actually is pretty common for a site similar to this. Later, if you want to have versions for screens that are not fitting your 700px (if I remember correctly) you can use @media queries to set different width for different sizes or totally different layout even:

But that's a more advanced topic, I think it's great work.
